Self Guided Tours of a Working Farm!

Summers Farm offers Fall Harvest Field Trips for all ages! Our  self-guided tours promote the exploration of agriculture on a real working farm. We provide a fun and educational hands-on learning experience!

What's included in your Field Trip
The self guided tour on our working farm includes scenic wagon ride and time for visitors to explore other farm activities such as the jumping pillow, straw mountain, low ropes course, slides, ball zone, and much more.
Each paid field trip admission gets one small pumpkin from our pick-your-own patch.
Understand what role bees play in growing food, view a real beehive and learn about the lifecycle of a pumpkin.
Enjoy close encounters with our farm animals and our educational "Agriculture is Everywhere" displays.
Get lost in our corn 5 acre corn maze with scavenger hunt clues to help you navigate the maze.

Reservations are required.

Field Trip Fees

$8.00 per attendee
(children and adults)
Children 2 and under receive free admission only with a paying adult. 
One teacher admitted free with a minimum of 5 paid student admissions. 
Additional teachers admitted free based on the following criteria: 1 teacher/5 paid student admissions.

Cancellations

If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled tour, please let us know as soon as possible so that we may fill your appointment time. 
Weather-related cancellations (cancelled by Summers Farm) may be rescheduled.
 Tips for your Field Trip
Prior to your field trip arrival, please check our website for conditions at the farm. In case of inclement weather, please call 301-304-3031 to make sure we are open. We will do our best to reschedule your field trip should we close due to weather.

- Arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled wagon ride.
- Send one person to the admission building with the total count of students, chaperones, and siblings in your group. Please be prepared to pay in one transaction.
- Have each visitor bring a full water bottle with their name.
-Seating is available for groups who wish to bring a lunch.
- Bring a sharpie to write name on student's pumpkins.
- Because fall weather can vary day-to-day, please encourage visitors to dress in layers and wear sensible closed toe walking shoes.
