As I am sure you have heard, Summers Farm’s corn maze honors one of America’s favorite artists, Taylor Swift. We wanted to pick a positive message and Taylor Swift embodies that message to both young and old. We were honored to sit down with Rolling Stone to talk about the inspiration behind the maze.
“A lot of people think she is this role model for kids but really she is a role model for everybody by the way she carries herself, how she treats people, and how she is big on being your own person. She is just a great person. We feel that’s she firmly believes that if you are a little bit different, that’s OK. You be the best person you can be, because that’s how you’re going to be happy. And that’s what we believe in also.” Jeff Greenwood says about the maze.
Check out the full interview at here! A big thank you to Taylor Swift all that she does in bringing positivity and encouragement to people everywhere. We are so excited to have her and her message as part of our fall festival this year. Be sure to come check our Taylor Swift corn maze this year at Summers Farm!
Here at Summers Farm, we have been doing the no-more-rain dance! We invite all our Summers Farm fans to join in with us. Hurricane Joaquin, while not as bad as they said, still brought enough grey skies to the area to damper our fun at the farm. Our barnyard friends miss having visitors, the pumpkins are yearning to be picked, and the piggies are itching to race. Don’t even mention the apple cider donuts… they are just plain depressed that they can’t bring happiness to our visitors. So you can see how important it is for those rain dances to be done. So get on those dancing shoes and we will see you under blue, sunny skies next week!
We want to thank all who came out this past weekend for the 2015 5K Great Pumpkin Fun Run. By running in the race, you helped benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For that we are truly grateful. Thanks also to our sponsor, 99.9 WFRE radio for all their help and support.
