Here at Summers Farm Adventure, we’re pretty darn proud of offerin’ an amazing mega-intricate corn maze! It’s 13 acres of swaying stalks and wide pathways “carved” throughout the maze.
However, you should know that we plan months in advance what our maze theme will be (our fans offer us some great ideas)! We then set to work designing just what that theme will entail…bridges, dead ends, circles, corners, and the openings (of course)! The design goes into implementation. We send someone to the top of the silo and they yell and tell Farmer Jeff just where to walk and weed whack! (Not really, but the “carving” is something of an art which is why it’s a big secret!)
To make our maze fun and challenging, we like to see our fans sweat! Not really, but we do require a little brain power. Come up with the correct answer to our fun Connect the Kernels game that coincides with the maze — and you’ll make it through in no time! The correct answer will guide you through—that is, unless you take a wrong turn or if you answer incorrectly…you just never know where you’ll wind up!
This year’s maze commemorates all heroes in the U.S. Military at home and abroad. It’s a salute to our nations’ First Responders too. We have many to thank for all they do, so be sure to check out Heroes Weekend for special pricing on October 8-9.
We hope you’ll agree that this year is one of the best. We sure think so!
Great for on-the-go breakfast or snack!
You’ve probably made yummy pumpkin muffins or bread or pumpkin pie from time to time. Well, how about an infusion of pumpkin into breakfast or a snack that’s healthy and delicious!
To make our special Pumpkin-Banana Smoothies, you’ll need some basic ingredients and a blender. This recipe make enough for 2 to enjoy.
Ingredients:
1 Banana
1 cup yogurt or greek yogurt
2 tbs honey (or sugar/substitute)
1/4 to 1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup pumpkin (fresh/canned)
1 cup ice
Process all ingredients in a blender until smooth. For added variety, try adding frozen fruit or berries instead of ice. For a little extra “green” in your smoothie, add 1/2 cup of spinach. For thicker smoothies, add more ice. Enjoy!

No, you’re not seeing double, but you are seein’ double-trouble! Our goat, Betsy, just gave birth to twins: Abe and George! There sure is heck gonna be some excitement in the barnyard come Opening Weekend. With all these “kids” runnin’ round the barnyard, they are sure to cause a stir or two!
Now you might be wondering about the frequency of goat birthings. Well, twins are mighty common. Heck, some mama goats give birth to triplets sometimes!
The key is figuring out who is who when you get a few sets of kids in the barnyard. Think you can? When you come out to Summers Farm, you’ll get your chance!
Just in time for Patriots Day, Grandma birthed twin kids at our farm! These cute little goats have been free to romp around the barnyard along with our other new baby goat Cinnamon.
We thought long and hard about what to name these kids. Why not patriotic names? After all, this year’s festival theme honors all of our American heroes serving our country in the U.S. military and our First Responders. Can you guess their names? Liberty & Freedom!
Goats happen to be very friendly and very popular barnyard animals. Being social makes them all the more interesting, cuddly, and down right cute! You’ll be able to see Liberty, Freedom, and all our other adorable barnyard animals when you come out to Summers Farm this fall!
